Salary Packaging

Salary packaging allows employees to make substantial savings to their take-home pay by reducing pre-tax income and therefore the amount of tax paid. There are a wide range of items staff can use to package including rent, mortgage, credit cards and loans.

St Vincents & Mater Health Sydney is able to offer this benefit as the organisation operates under the public benevolent institution status and is therefore exempt from paying Fringe Benefits Tax on benefits up to $17,000 gross.

Salary packaging is available to full-time and part-time staff.

St Vincents & Mater Health Sydney is committed to providing a healthy and safe work environment for all persons who enter our work environment, including staff, patients, contractors and visitors. We promote this goal through the implementation of health and safety management systems designed to eliminate workplace hazards, where this is not possible, to reduce the risk of these hazards to as low as reasonably practical. St Vincents & Mater Health Sydney recognises the fact that accidents do occur and has also implemented emergency management and injury management systems to mitigate the consequences of any untoward event and to ensure the early return to work of any injured worker.
