In fulfilling its Mission, St Vincents & Mater Health works in partnership with a number of organisations:
St Vincent’s Clinic is a major ambulatory component of the St Vincent’s Campus. The Clinic, opened in 1990, provides investigative and diagnostic services for patients referred from St Vincent’s Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospice and local and country general practitioners and specialists.
The Clinic Foundation, which forms part of St Vincent’s Clinic, is a key source of research funds across the St Vincent’s Campus, providing financial support for research and for public and medical education.
Physically linked to St Vincent’s Private Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital, the Clinic provides easy access for patients and clinicians accessing public and private health care services on the Darlinghurst Campus.
Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute
Housed on the St Vincent’s Campus, the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute was established in 1994 by St Vincent’s Hospital and is now one of Australia’s most prominent centres for cardiac research.
A facility wholly owned by the Sisters of Charity Health Service, the Institute is affiliated with the University of New South Wales and is accredited as an independent research facility by the National Health and Medical Research Council.
